Block of the Month
With a Block of the Month, you get a block pattern at one meeting and complete the block prior the next meeting. In some cases, the blocks are turned in and raffled off to the winner and in other cases the block is added to an ongoing quilt top to be completed at the end of the year.
Exactly how it works can vary from one year to the next based on the BOM Chairperson.
2026 BOM: Lone Robin Challenge
For 2026, the guild will be doing a Lone Robin BOM Challenge. This is an individual challenge. Each person will work on their own project throughout the year adding to it each month.
Note: You can change your mind and join mid-year. You do not have to start in January.
- Bring a 12.5″ x 12.5″ center block to the January Meeting.
- This center block will be built upon for the rest of the year.
- It can be any block: traditional, modern, applique, animal, vegetable, or mineral.
- There will be a one time $5 charge to join the 2026 BOM Challenge.
- Each month (Jan-Oct), there will be a drawing to specify what the next round of the quilt will be. Each round will expand all four sides of the quilt.

The more people who join, the bigger the reward.
2025 BOM: Block Kits
Each month pre-cut ready for easy assembly block kits will be provided for $1.00/kit. The money is donated to the guild to offset the cost of batting for donation quilts. The fabric comes from Brenda’s stash and costs the guild nothing.
- Purchase one or more kits at the meeting.
- Put them together before the next meeting.
- Keep them or turn them in at the next meeting to enter a drawing to win them all.

BOM: Prior Years
